Tip to hang Christmas ornaments outside

Discover a convenient and easy way to hang Christmas ornaments and decorations outside without damaging your home with this complete tutorial.

It’s been several years now that I’m thinking of hanging large Christmas ball ornaments on the front balcony of the house.

I hadn’t found the ideal ornaments yet and it’s when I was trying to find a plastic tube for the Splatoon Halloween costume  (yes, yes!!!) that I found these.

They came in a large plastic tube and therefore thought I had a two for one solution, but the tube was finally too flexible to use for the costume. But that’s ok, I finally had the Christmas ornaments I wanted ?.

What I used

How to hang Christmas ornaments

Tie about 3 feet of twine on each ornament. Make bows with ribbons and insert the twine inside the loop of the bow.

If you use the same ribbons, I strongly suggest you put yourself above the sink to handle them! This will avoid you to have to vacuum later!!!

Adding ribbons and jute twine when you Hang Christmas ornaments

Attach a paper clip to the other end of the twine. Insert the clip on the metal moulding holding the soffit (perforated aluminum sheets).

I added a second paper clip, forming an “X” shape to better secure it.

And that’s all! We’ll have to see if it’s going to resist the first winter snow storm! I’ll keep you posted!

UPDATE: yes it did resist all! And all winter long! ?

It will be even more beautiful when the snow covers the branches on the railing!
