$100 Room Challenge - Week 4 update

Even thought I was gone on vacation almost haft of the month, I'm still really glad I joined this challenge this month!  But thankfully, there's a 5th week!!!

Remember my plan?

Shelves up there : check!
Clean down here : check!

I also made :
Cute crochet baskets for decoration
and upgraded my fabulous plastic trash can 😋
yay!

I said I wanted to add an accent color and was thinking about green. Here are my purchases :

$100 Room Challenge | Garbage can upgrade | towel | Shelves

Those towels costed a lot and they where on special! But they are exactly the color I had in mind and I love them! If I have money left, I'll probably buy a couple more. At least another hand towel so I have a spare one when doing the laundry.

Here's how my budget's doing :

CAD$USDWhere
Linen fabric$5.00$3.70Local fabric store
Green yarn$3.42$2.53Hobby Lobby 40% coupon
Sisal Rope$5.14$3.81Hobby Lobby 40% coupon
Towels$51.57$38.20Linen Cheston special!
Mini Succulent$2.86$2.12Michael's50% off on special
Flowers$2.86$2.12Michael's50% off on special
Total$70.85$52.48
Money left$64.15$47.52

Note : yep, I'm giving myself a chance and counting USD vs CAD$. The difference is simply awfull!

Next week :

Make a latter and attatch a rope to the miror. See if I have enough budget to change the wall light (I'm not really optimist on that one!)

Anyway, if you weren't there, take a look at what happened the previous weeks

  1. I love that shade of green. Sometimes you have to splurge a bit, even on a project with a tight budget. It makes the whole thing feel beautiful!

  5. Great that you have a little area to set things behind your tub. Also I love your Canadian dollar to U.S. dollar chart. You guys should definitely get a $130 room challenge ;)

    1. Need my chart! I'll try to make it for 100$ US, but just imagine if the challenge was 100$ CAD, you would have to make it for 75$!! Yeah, my husband loves my logic!!! ;-)

  6. Oh thank goodness I'm not the only one who splurged a little! I bought expensive wrapping paper for our china cabinet and don't blame you one bit for those fabulous towels!

    1. You should try crochet. I just started in september, it's easy if you keep it with simple stiches (like the baskets). I'ts kind of a DIY you can bring everywhere with you! ;-)
